出埃及记 2:1-10
有一个利未家的人娶了一个利未女子为妻。 那女人怀孕，生一个儿子，见他俊美，就藏了他三个月。 后来不能再藏，就取了一个蒲草箱，抹上石漆和石油，将孩子放在里头，把箱子搁在河边的芦荻中。 孩子的姐姐远远站着，要知道他究竟怎么样。 法老的女儿来到河边洗澡，她的使女们在河边行走。她看见箱子在芦荻中，就打发一个婢女拿来。 她打开箱子，看见那孩子。孩子哭了，她就可怜他，说：“这是希伯来人的一个孩子。” 孩子的姐姐对法老的女儿说：“我去在希伯来妇人中叫一个奶妈来，为你奶这孩子，可以不可以？” 法老的女儿说：“可以。”童女就去叫了孩子的母亲来。 法老的女儿对她说：“你把这孩子抱去，为我奶他，我必给你工价。”妇人就抱了孩子去奶他。 孩子渐长，妇人把他带到法老的女儿那里，就做了她的儿子。她给孩子起名叫摩西，意思说：“因我把他从水里拉出来。”

“孩子渐长，妇人把他带到法老的女儿那里，就作了他的儿子。” - 出 2:10
神的子民在埃及受逼迫这件事，引发了一个独一无二的计划。神准备为祂的子民兴起一个领袖，这人最终将会带领他们离开为奴之地。
有一个男孩，在以色列利未支派的一个家庭中出生。根据法老的法令，这个孩子已被判死刑。然而他的母亲把男孩藏起来，他便得平安。过了几个月，她把孩子放在一个防水的箱子里，然后把箱子搁在尼罗河边的芦荻中。
法老的女儿来到河边洗澡时，发现了这个婴孩。孩子在哭，她就可怜他。法老的女儿想收养这男孩做自己的儿子，于是与孩子的母亲想出一个办法来。当孩子稍长时、她就收养他做自己的儿子，一同住在王的宫殿中。法老的女儿给孩子起名叫摩西，意思说：“因我把他从水里拉出来。”这个名字在圣经历史上产生了深远的影响。
当我们继续踏上这条思考神的信实的路程时，我们再次看到，神能够成就出人意料之外的事，祂会使用各种不同的人来成就祂的计划。
法老的宫殿，成为神培育一个将来会帮助他的同胞脱离奴隶生涯的领袖。一个看似没有出路的境况，竟然可以成为一条通往未来之路。
祷告
亲爱的神，当我们看不见出路时，求你帮助我们信得过你掌管明天。你必定持守你的应许，求你帮助我们留心去看你在每一个人生命中的作为。阿们。

FROM THE RIVER TO THE PALACE
When the child grew older, she took him to Pharaoh’s daughter and he became her son. —Exodus 2:10
A time of persecution for God’s people in Egypt led to a unique plan. God would raise up a leader for his people and eventually deliver them from slavery.
A baby boy was born in Israel to a family in the tribe of Levi. Under the edict of Pharaoh, this child was under a death sentence. But his mother hid him and kept him safe. Then, after a few months, she placed him in a waterproof basket and set it near the shore among the reeds of the Nile River.
The daughter of Pharaoh came to the river to bathe, and she discovered the baby there. The child was crying, and her heart went out to him. Pharaoh’s daughter wanted to adopt this baby as her own. So she worked out a plan with the boy’s mother, and when he was older, she took him to live with her as her own son in the palace of the king. “She named [the boy] Moses, saying, ‘I drew him out of the water,’” and his name reverberates throughout Bible history.
As we continue in this journey of exploring God’s faithfulness, we again see that God can do surprising things and use all kinds of people to be instruments in his plan.
The palace of Pharaoh became the place where God raised up a leader who would help to bring his people out of slavery. What seemed an impossible situation became a pathway to the future.
Dear God, when we cannot see a way forward, help us to trust that you hold the future. Keep us attentive to what you are doing in the lives of all people as you keep your promises. Amen.
