感恩且圣洁的生活

“这样看来，律法是圣洁的，诫命也是圣洁、公义、良善的。” - 罗马书 7:12

当我还是个孩子时，每个主日教会几乎都会宣读十诫。那段宣读听起来既冗长又严厉。然而，随着我渐渐长大，我明白在崇拜中宣读律法，是对神合宜的感恩回应。它也是我们天路历程中的生命向导。

十诫拥有多重功用。神的律法使我们知罪，并指引我们去领受那唯有信靠神的儿子—我们唯一的救主耶稣基督，才能经历到的恩典与赦免。当我们信靠耶稣，脱离了罪的咒诅，律法对我们而言，又意味着什么呢？简单来说，十诫显明了神纯全的旨意，并成为了耶稣跟随者的行事准则与生命的标竿。

GRATEFUL, HOLY LIVING

So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good. —Romans 7:12

When I was a boy, the Ten Commandments were read almost every Sunday at church. The reading seemed long and dour. As I grew older, though, I learned that reading the law in worship is a fitting response of gratitude to God and a guide for spiritual growth.

The Ten Commandments have more than one purpose. God’s law convicts us of our sin, and it points us to the grace and forgiveness we experience in trusting God’s Son, Jesus Christ, as our one and only Savior. When we trust in Jesus and we are no longer under the curse of sin, what happens to the law? In short, the Ten Commandments, which reveal God’s perfect will, become a guide, a standard for followers of Jesus.

Do you want to know how God wants you to live your daily life in relation to him and with others? Look to the Ten Commandments, which reveal God’s holy, righteous, and good will for our everyday lives.

We cannot keep God’s law perfectly in this life. Though we are forgiven in Christ, we still fail—again and again.

But, trusting in God’s grace, we can ask forgiveness for our daily sins, and we can pray that by the Holy Spirit’s power we will continue to become like our Savior, Jesus Christ, who kept all of God’s commands perfectly.

Father God, thank you for your good and perfect will. Help us to strive every day to love and serve you and others. Amen.
