【双语灵修】蒙爱者：他所爱的那一位BELOVED: THE ONE HE LOVES

以弗所书 1:3-10；约翰一书 4:7-19

愿颂赞归于我们主耶稣基督的父神！他在基督里曾赐给我们天上各样属灵的福气， 就如神从创立世界以前在基督里拣选了我们，使我们在他面前成为圣洁，无有瑕疵； 又因爱我们，就按着自己意旨所喜悦的，预定我们藉着耶稣基督得儿子的名分， 使他荣耀的恩典得著称赞。这恩典是他在爱子里所赐给我们的。 我们藉这爱子的血得蒙救赎，过犯得以赦免，乃是照他丰富的恩典。 这恩典是神用诸般智慧聪明，充充足足赏给我们的， 都是照他自己所预定的美意，叫我们知道他旨意的奥秘，要照所安排的，在日期满足的时候，使天上、地上一切所有的，都在基督里面同归于一。 亲爱的弟兄啊，我们应当彼此相爱，因为爱是从神来的。凡有爱心的，都是由神而生，并且认识神。 没有爱心的，就不认识神，因为神就是爱。 神差他独生子到世间来，使我们藉着他得生，神爱我们的心在此就显明了。不是我们爱神，乃是神爱我们，差他的儿子为我们的罪做了挽回祭，这就是爱了。亲爱的弟兄啊，神既是这样爱我们，我们也当彼此相爱。从来没有人见过神，我们若彼此相爱，神就住在我们里面，爱他的心在我们里面得以完全了。神将他的灵赐给我们，从此就知道我们是住在他里面，他也住在我们里面。父差子做世人的救主，这是我们所看见且作见证的。凡认耶稣为神儿子的，神就住在他里面，他也住在神里面。神爱我们的心，我们也知道也信。神就是爱，住在爱里面的，就是住在神里面，神也住在他里面。这样，爱在我们里面得以完全，我们就可以在审判的日子坦然无惧；因为他如何，我们在这世上也如何。爱里没有惧怕，爱既完全，就把惧怕除去，因为惧怕里含着刑罚；惧怕的人在爱里未得完全。我们爱，因为神先爱我们。

蒙爱者：他所爱的那一位

“……神从创立世界以前，在基督里拣选了我们……预定我们藉着耶稣基督得儿子的名分……” - 以弗所书 1:4-5

我和女儿都喜欢看浪漫喜剧。我们一边吃爆米花，一边带着傻傻的笑容观看这些爱情故事，等待着男女主角彼此告白那令人满足的一刻。我们被这些故事吸引，是因为我们天生就是为爱而造的。但这类故事不过是影子—是对那真实永恒之爱的笨拙模仿。

《圣经》告诉我们，神就是爱。从永恒深处，三位一体的神—圣父、圣子和圣灵—过去是、现在是、将来也是爱，彼此喜悦、彼此荣耀。神是独一的，但奥秘的是，神也是在完美相爱的关系中的三个位格。

因此，当约翰宣告“神就是爱”时，他的意思是三位一体的神并不需要创造任何受造之物来展示爱。神从亘古就充满了丰盛的爱，这爱始于神本身，并延伸到神所做的一切事上。

在耶稣受洗，以及登山变像时，天父的声音都曾经响起：“这是我的爱子，我所喜悦的”（《马太福音》3:17; 17:5）。而最令人惊叹的是，在耶稣里，神将祂的爱延伸到了我们身上！不仅如此，这位“爱子”、我们的主耶稣，所作的不只是单膝跪地宣告祂的爱，祂为我们舍了生命，成了“我们罪的赎罪祭”。

当我们接纳神，倚靠祂对我们的爱时，神就住在我们里面，我们也在祂里面。何等奇妙！

三位一体的神，感谢你爱我们，并在你所爱的耶稣里，赐给我们新生命。求你以你的生命和慈爱充满我们，帮助我们将你的爱传播到各处。阿们。

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25

BELOVED: THE ONE HE LOVES

He chose us . . . for adoption . . . through Jesus Christ . . . the One he loves. —Ephesians 1:4-6

My daughters and I enjoy romantic comedies. We view these love stories with our popcorn and our sappy smiles, waiting for that satisfying moment when the main characters declare their love for one another. We are drawn to these stories because we are made for love. But stories like these are just shadows—wispy imitations of the real and eternal thing.

The Bible tells us that God is love. From the depths of eternity the triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—has been and is love, delighting in and glorifying one another. God is one, and yet, mysteriously, God is also three persons in a perfect, loving relationship.

So when John declares that “God is love,” he means that the triune God did not need to create anyone or anything in order to love. God has always been abounding in love. This begins within the Godhead and extends to everything God does.

At Jesus’ baptism, and again at his transfiguration, the Father’s voice said, “This is my Son, whom I love” (Matthew 3:17; 17:5). And what is so amazing is that, in Jesus, God has extended his love to us! Even more, the Beloved, our Lord Jesus, did far more than getting down on one knee to declare his love. He laid down his life for us, becoming the “atoning sacrifice for our sins.”

And when we receive him, relying on the love God has for us, God lives in us, and we live in him. Amazing!

Triune God, thank you for loving us and giving us new life in Jesus, the One you love. Fill us with your life and love, and help us to share your love everywhere. Amen.
