“我走在公义的道上，行在公正的路上，使爱我的承受财产，使他们的府库满溢。” - 箴 8:20-21 新译本

当你想到财产这个词时，你会想到什么？钱？遗产？你爱的人去世了？一个家人把他所有的财产留给你——无论你是否想要？

神愿意赐给我们丰富的财产，这意味着祂想让我们成为祂家中的一员。神使我们能够成为祂的儿女，好使我们从祂那里得着产业。

神是如何做到的呢？藉着耶稣。耶稣的死偿还了我们的罪债，祂的复活和升天表明，祂已经胜过了罪和死亡。因着基督的得胜，神将祂的圣灵赐给我们，使我们被收纳为祂的儿女。

保罗在罗马书8:17中告诉我们：“（我们）既是儿女，便是后嗣，就是神的后嗣，和基督同作后嗣...”

凡相信基督的人都被收纳为神的儿女，是我们天父的产业和祂的祝福的继承人。就像遗嘱表明某人的财富或财物应如何分配一样，神应许祂的儿女将藉着耶稣分享祂的产业，包括永生。

因此，当你看到财产这个词时，你会想到什么？你是否想到了耶稣以及永恒中整全生命的应许？

箴言 8:12-21

12“我智慧以灵明为居所，又寻得知识和谋略。

A Rich Inheritance

"I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice, bestowing a rich inheritance on those who love me. . . ." - Proverbs 8:20-21

When you think of the word inheritance, what comes to mind? Money? An estate? Someone you love passing away? A family member who has left all their belongings to you—whether you want them or not?

God wants to give us a rich inheritance, which means he wants us to be part of his family. God has made it possible for us to be his sons and daughters so that we can receive an inheritance from him.

How has God done this? Through Jesus. Jesus' death paid our debt of sin, and his resurrection and ascension show that he is victorious over sin and death. And because of Christ's victory God sends his Holy Spirit to us all so that we can be adopted as his children.

Paul tells us in Romans 8:17, "Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ. . . ."

All who believe in Christ are adopted children of God, heirs of our heavenly Father's estate and his blessings. Just as a will indicates how someone's wealth or belongings should be distributed, God promises that his children will share in his inheritance through Jesus. And that includes eternal life with him.

So when you think of the word inheritance, what comes to mind? Do you think of Jesus and the promise of full life forever?

Gracious and generous God, thank you for the promise that we will inherit the treasure of full life with you. Amen.
