“他用膏膏我，叫我传福音…” - 路 4:18

我在中美洲某个国家与一群牧师相聚时，他们的故事深深感动了我。他们是来自一个把焦点放在认识基督为你个人的主和救主的传统上。这是一件好事。但当这些牧师与我们的同工在他们社区中一起服侍时，他们也开始意识到，福音(“好消息”)的果效比带来个人的转变更为深广。耶稣的工作触及我们这个破碎世界的每一个部份：创造、关系、经济、政治势力和其他方面的。

当这些牧师接受了一个较广阔的基督教世界观时，他们的服侍也随着改变。他们邀请众人去想像一下，耶稣会怎样关顾在他们中间贫穷的和受压迫的人。这些牧师也因他们国家中对很多人不公平的政治制度，作出先知式的批评。

当这些牧师分享他们的经验时，我看到他们眼中充满喜乐，但同时他们说逼害也增加了。从前没有人会理会他们去传讲只关乎个人的信仰，但现在他们呼吁富有的去与穷人分享、有权势的去关顾弱势的、释放被冤屈囚禁的，他们这样做便使社会的权贵感受到威胁。

分享福音就是去见证耶稣来的目的，是要带来和平，修正这个受创伤的世界的错处。

祷告

耶稣啊，你关心贫苦和受压迫的；当我们为你作见证时，求你帮助我们也照样去做。阿们。

路加福音 4:14-21

14耶稣满有圣灵的能力，回到加利利，他的名声就传遍了四方。
15他在各会堂里教训人，众人都称赞他。
16耶稣来到拿撒勒，就是他长大的地方，在安息日，照他平常的规矩进了会堂，站起来要念圣经。
17有人把先知以赛亚的书交给他，他就打开，找到一处写着说：
18“主的灵在我身上，因为他用膏膏我，叫我传福音给贫穷的人，差遣我报告被掳的得释放、瞎眼的得看见，叫那受压制的得自由，
19报告神悦纳人的禧年。”
20于是把书卷起来，交还执事，就坐下。会堂里的人都定睛看他。
21耶稣对他们说：“今天这经应验在你们耳中了。”

What Is the Good News?

As I sat with a group of pastors in a Central American country, I found myself deeply convicted by their stories. They had come from a tradition that focused on knowing Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. This was a good thing. But as these pastors had worked with our partners in their community, they had also begun to realize that the gospel (the "good news") is far bigger than individual transformation. The work of Jesus touches every part of our broken world: creation, relationships, justice, finance, political power, and more.

As these pastors embraced a wider Christian worldview, their ministries began to change. They invited people to wonder how Jesus might care for the poor and the oppressed people in their midst. They also spoke prophetically against political systems in their country that treated many people unjustly.

As these pastors shared about their experiences, I could see the joy in their eyes. But they also spoke of growing persecution. Earlier, no one had cared if they just spoke about having a personal faith. Now that they were calling for the rich to share with the poor, for the powerful to care for the weak, and for the wrongly imprisoned to be set free, they were becoming a threat to the powers in their society.

To share the good news means bearing witness that Jesus came to bring peace and to right the wrongs of this hurting world.

Prayer

Jesus, you care for the poor and oppressed; help us to do that as we witness for you. Amen.
