【双语灵修】行在光明中WALKING IN THE LIGHT

「『我是世界的光。跟从我的，就不在黑暗里走，必要得着生命的光。』」-约 8:12

今天我们所读的经文以耶稣的身份为中心。祂宣告说：「我是世界的光……」，这就像神的立约之名「我是自有永有的」（出 3:14）。耶稣在宣告祂是神，因为祂就是神。

但这里也蕴含着对所有跟随祂之人的影响。耶稣说，跟随祂的人 「就不在黑暗里走，必要得着生命的光」。我们若诚实地面对自己，就会承认有很多时候我们会在信仰中跌跌绊绊。有时，我们故意选择犯罪。有时，我们没有做我们本可以做的善事。有时，我们还是会选择黑暗。那么，我们该如何看待耶稣所说的，跟随祂的人「不在黑暗中走」这句话呢？

在此之前，以色列人一直被教导要遵守神的命令，献上某些祭物才能与神和好。但现在，耶稣重新将他们的义归因在自己身上。耶稣宣告的好消息是，人们不用再试图在神面前行义（而且总是失败），而是可以接受耶稣完美的生命—这世界的光，这是祂赐给我们的（林后 5:21）。因着神的恩典，所有跟随耶稣的人都拥有生命之光，不是因为他们做了什么，而是因着耶稣自己和祂所做的一切。哈利路亚！

感谢祢，耶稣，感谢祢的信实和为我们所做的牺牲。我们赞美祢，因着祢这生命之光，使得我们与神和好！阿们！

约翰福音 8:12-20
12 耶稣又对众人说：「我是世界的光。跟从我的，就不在黑暗里走，必要得着生命的光。」 13 法利赛人对他说：「你是为自己作见证，你的见证不真。」 14 耶稣说：「我虽然为自己作见证，我的见证还是真的；因我知道我从哪里来，往哪里去。你们却不知道我从哪里来，往哪里去。 15 你们是以外貌判断人，我却不判断人。 16就是判断人，我的判断也是真的，因为不是我独自在这里，还有差我来的父与我同在。 17 你们的律法上也记着说：『两个人的见证是真的。』 18 我是为自己作见证，还有差我来的父也是为我作见证。」 19 他们就问他说：「你的父在哪里？」耶稣回答说：「你们不认识我，也不认识我的父；若是认识我，也就认识我的父。」 20 这些话是耶稣在殿里的库房教训人时所说的，也没有人拿他，因为他的时候还没有到。

WALKING IN THE LIGHT

“‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” - John 8:12

trally focused on Jesus’ identity. He declares, “I am the light of the world . . .” leaning into God’s covenant name “I am who I am” (Exodus 3:14). Jesus is making the claim that he is God, because that’s who he is.

But there are also implications here for all who follow him. Jesus asserts that anyone who follows him “will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” When we’re honest with ourselves, we admit there are many times when we stumble in our faith. Sometimes we make deliberate choices to sin. At other times we fail to do the good that we could have done. At times, we still choose darkness. So, what do we do with Jesus’ words that his followers “will never walk in darkness”?

Until this point, the Israelites were taught to follow God’s commands and to offer certain sacrifices in order to be right with God. But now Jesus reorients their righteousness to himself. The good news Jesus proclaims is that instead of trying (and always failing) to be righteous before God, people can receive the light of Jesus’ perfect life that he extends to us (2 Corinthians 5:21). By God’s grace, all who follow Jesus have the light of life not because of what they do, but because of who Jesus is and what Jesus has done. Hallelujah!

Thank you, Jesus, for your faithfulness and your sacrifice on our behalf. We praise you that the light of your life makes us right with God! Amen.
