诗篇 96

你们要向耶和华唱新歌，全地都要向耶和华歌唱 要向耶和华歌唱，称颂他的名，天天传扬他的救恩。 在列邦中述说他的荣耀，在万民中述说他的奇事。因耶和华为大，当受极大的赞美，他在万神之上，当受敬畏。 外邦的神都属虚无，唯独耶和华创造诸天。 有尊荣和威严在他面前，有能力与华美在他圣所。 民中的万族啊，你们要将荣耀、能力归给耶和华，都归给耶和华！ 要将耶和华的名所当得的荣耀归给他，拿供物来进入他的院宇！ 当以圣洁的[a]装饰敬拜耶和华，全地要在他面前战抖！ 人在列邦中要说：“耶和华做王！”世界就坚定，不得动摇，他要按公正审判众民。 愿天欢喜，愿地快乐，愿海和其中所充满的澎湃， 愿田和其中所有的都欢乐！那时林中的树木都要在耶和华面前欢呼， 因为他来了，他来要审判全地。他要按公义审判世界，按他的信实审判万民。

一位伟大的神，一个伟大的使命

“在列邦中述说他的荣耀，在万民中述说他的奇事。” - 诗 96:3

日前我们年幼的孙儿正安静地躺在他的床上，他突然间大声提出一个问题：“妈咪，神若创造了万物，那么，神又是谁创造的呢？”

问得好！然而，神究竟有多么伟大？

诗篇96篇提醒我们，我们事奉的神是宇宙的神。身为跟随基督的人，我们能够与伟大和奇妙的神建立生命的关系。这位神不但统管天地，祂更知道我们生命中的每一个细节。因此我们便能够成为这个比我们更大的故事的其中一部分了。

我们属于在世上每个角落都活出神的使命的普世教会。诗篇 96:3美妙地捕捉了这个重大的使命的精义：“在列邦中述说他的荣耀，在万民中述说他的奇事。”

在这个月，我们将会探讨成为这个伟大的故事的一部分，包含着什么意思。我们将会用四个关键词：福音、作见证、整全，和跨文化，来表达以我们的生命来述说神的奇事，究竟是什么意思。这些词语表达出按照圣经所表明的热忱，我有幸能够在当中事奉的这个普世宣教机构，就是以这样的热忱作为我们的事工核心价值的。

我们在这个月一起思想这些关键词时，愿神塑造我们，成为藉着生命常常去述说祂的荣耀的人。

祷告

神啊，祢是万有之主，我们赞美祢。我们为祢奇妙和普世的使命感谢祢。愿我们敞开我们的心，来学习在生活上每一个层面，都把祢彰显出来。阿们。

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 1

A BIG GOD. A BIG MISSION.

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. —Psalm 96:3

Recently our young grandson was lying quietly in his bed. Suddenly he piped up with a question: “Mommy, if God made everything, then who made God?”

What a good question! And just how big is God?

Psalm 96 reminds us that we serve the God of the universe. As followers of Christ, we are brought into a life-giving relationship with our big and marvelous God who not only rules the heavens and the earth but also knows every detail of our lives. This makes us part of a story that is much bigger than we are.

We are part of a global church living out God’s mission in every corner of the world. That big mission is beautifully captured in Psalm 96:3: “Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.”

This month we are going to explore what it means to be part of this bigger story. And we will use four key words to get at what it means to declare with our lives the greatness of God's marvelous deeds: gospel, witness, holistic, and intercultural. These words capture the biblically shaped passion that is at the heart of the global mission agency I am privileged to serve.

As we reflect on these key words together this month, may God form us into people who increasingly declare his glory through our lives.

God, we praise you as Lord over all, and we thank you for your amazing, worldwide mission. May our hearts be open as we learn what it means to reflect you in every part of our lives. Amen.
