约书亚记 1:1-9

耶和华的仆人摩西死了以后，耶和华晓谕摩西的帮手，嫩的儿子约书亚，说： “我的仆人摩西死了，现在你要起来，和众百姓过这约旦河，往我所要赐给以色列人的地去。 凡你们脚掌所踏之地，我都照着我所应许摩西的话赐给你们了。 从旷野和这黎巴嫩，直到伯拉大河，赫人的全地，又到大海日落之处，都要做你们的境界。 你平生的日子，必无一人能在你面前站立得住。我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在。我必不撇下你，也不丢弃你。 你当刚强壮胆，因为你必使这百姓承受那地为业，就是我向他们列祖起誓应许赐给他们的地。 只要刚强，大大壮胆，谨守遵行我仆人摩西所吩咐你的一切律法，不可偏离左右，使你无论往哪里去，都可以顺利。 这律法书不可离开你的口，总要昼夜思想，好使你谨守遵行这书上所写的一切话。如此，你的道路就可以亨通，凡事顺利。 我岂没有吩咐你吗？你当刚强壮胆！不要惧怕，也不要惊惶，因为你无论往哪里去，耶和华你的神必与你同在。”

神每日的声音

“这律法书不可离开你的口，总要昼夜思想……” - 书 1:8

今年是这本灵修指引《每日箴言》出版的75周年纪念。当我们思想神的话语如何在世界各地引起共鸣时，这本灵修册子便是圣灵使用的其中一个渠道，来鼓励和挑战千千万万基督徒，以及对基督教信仰感到好奇的人。这些灵修文章每天都提供一个新的机会去读一段《圣经》，和把它应用在我们日常生活上。

最近我来到美国中西部的一个小镇，当我从下塌的酒店出来时，便看见有《每日箴言》放在大堂供人取阅。不久，我又在机场遇到一些人，他们认得我是一位牧师，随后其中一人惊讶地说：“你好，我们今早读到你写的《每日箴言》灵修呢，谢谢你！”这本小小的灵修指引被分送到各教会、家庭、酒店、监狱、餐厅和互联网上。这是一个多么有意义的事工啊！

在我们今天的经文《约书亚记》中，神的子民快要进入神应许赐给他们的地方。他们被鼓励要刚强壮胆，因为主与他们同在。但神的话也要常在他们口中和心中，他们才会有这样的力量和勇气。愿我们今天和以后每一天都能这样行。

祷告

天父，感谢你的信实。感谢你在过去的75年，把《每日箴言》灵修信息供应给那么多人。愿你的话语发出响声，又不断坚固所有寻求你的人。阿们。

GOD’S DAILY VOICE

“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night. . . .” —Joshua 1:8

This year the Today devotional guide is celebrating its 75th anniversary.

As we think about the Word of God resonating around the world, these devotions are one of the ways in which the Spirit is at work, encouraging and challenging many thousands of Christians and people who are curious about the Christian faith. Every day is a new opportunity to read a portion of Scripture and apply it to our daily lives.

I was in a small town in the midwestern United States recently, and as I walked out of the hotel where I was staying, I saw the Today devotions on display in the lobby for people to pick up. Shortly afterward, I ran into some people in an airport. They recognized me as a pastor, and then one of them exclaimed, “Hey, we read your devotion this morning in Today— thanks for that!” This little devotional guide is shared in churches, homes, hotels, prisons, restaurants, and online. What a ministry!

In our Bible reading today in the book of Joshua, God’s people are about to enter the land God has promised them. They are encouraged to be strong and courageous because the Lord is with them. But that strength and courage would stay with them only if they kept the Word of God on their lips and in their hearts. May that be true for us today and every day.

Father, thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for providing the Today devotions for so many people for the past 75 years. May your Word ring out and keep strengthening all who seek you. Amen.
